One more reason not to go to the movies. Especially Cathay.
The other operators said that they would not increase prices. At the present moment. Who would know what they would do another few weeks later? Decide that they should increase prices cos Cathay has done so? Just like the taxi fare hike! One company after another following suit!
And if you decide to watch a movie, stay away from blockbuster movies cos it is gonna cost you more compared to ordinary movies.
